ITINERARIO
FIRST DAY (Biking)
CUSCO – SANTA
MARIA
6:00 am we will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco to start this exciting expedition called Inca Jungle, we will travel by bus for about 3 hours, during this time we
will be able to observe the natural and cultural charms that the Sacred Valley will offer to us, once we
reach the highest point of this expedition known as Abra Malaga, we have plenty of time to enjoy the incredible view
and we will be able to prepare ourselves to start the downhill on bicycle, a
journey of approximately 3 hours towards the edge of the Amazon jungle, we will pass through small communities, fruit
fields, rivers and agricultural sectors until we reach a small archaeological
zone known Huamanmarca, a very
interesting and beautiful place to know it and to take photos, then we continue
to Santa María town, to take a rest and enjoy a traditional lunch, during the
afternoon the people who have booked the rafting activity will be taken to the Urubamba River to enjoy this exciting
experience full of adrenaline for about 1 hour and 20 minutes.
The
people who have not booked the activity will have free time to visit the town.
This first night will be in a family home where we will enjoy a traditional
dinner and at the appropriate time the tour guide will give us the instructions
for the next day activities.

SECOND DAY (Hiking)
SANTA MARÍA –
SANTA TERESA
6:00 am. we will have a good breakfast, and once we are ready we begin the hike upstream
following an Inca trail totally
closed with vegetation, here we will find plantations of fruits, coca,
coffee, achote, among others, etc. then a short section of the road will
take us to the highest point of the route, from where we will be able to
appreciate all the beauty of the valley and the slope of the canyon, later we
will arrive at the town known as Quellomayo
where we can rest and enjoy a delicious lunch, then we continue the hike
for 4 more hours until we reach the relaxing
thermo-medicinal waters of Cocalmayo, after that we go to Santa Teresa town, there it will be the
place where we have dinner and spend the second night of this expedition.

THIRD DAY (Hiking)
SANTA TERESA
– MACHU PICCHU VILLAGE
After enjoying our
breakfast, the group will decide there are two options to get to the Hydroelectric Power Plant.
First Option: Carry out the activity
of the zip line which is (Optional) and at the end we continue by
transportation to the Hydroelectric
Power Plant.
Second Option: a hike of
approximately two and a half hours to the Hydroelectric
Power Plant, appreciating the landscapes surrounded by mountains covered
with vegetation.
Whichever option we have chosen to get to hydroelectric, here it is the place
to enjoy a delicious lunch and then continue hiking to Aguas Calientes town the path is along the banks of the Urubamba River following the railway.
Once we arrive to the town we will check in at our hotel and then time for resting
later on we will enjoy dinner.

FOURTH DAY (Hiking + Cultural Visit)
MACHU PICCHU
– CUSCO
Today is the last day and it is also the most important day of our
expedition since we will arrive at the impressive Inca citadel Machu Picchu, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and one of the seven new wonders
of the planet.
This day we start early since we will get up at 04:30 a.m. we have breakfast and then we must begin the hike for
about one hour and a half until we reach Machu
Picchu. (There is also the possibility of going up by bus from Aguas Calientes, it takes 25 minutes Today's goal is to try to be the first group to enter Machu Picchu, to have the opportunity
to enjoy the sunrise in this unique place.
We start the visit from the viewpoint
from we will take the beautiful classic photos and we try to do this when Machu Picchu is without visitors, then we go down to the urban area
to visit all the important sites, our tour guide will show us the most
interesting places and share with us the surprising history of this beautiful
place, we will also be surprised to be able to learn about the excellent urban
planning and the great challenge that the Incas
had due to rugged topography of the Andes,
we will have enough time to admire the perfection of this place and discover
the mystery that exists behind it, as well as enjoying its landscape, our tour
guide will always be ready and attentive to answer all our questions or doubts.
After 2 hours we have free time to continue exploring on our own or maybe to
climb the mountains but later at the indicated time we have to go down to the Aguas Calientes town (optional
lunch) later we get to the train station and go to Ollantaytambo town, once we arrive, our transportation will be
waiting to take us back to Cusco city (Plaza San Francisco).

For a good acclimatization you must be in Cusco at least 2 days before starting the excursion or better if you come from another high place, such as Arequipa, Puno or Bolivia

To Drink coca tea during the day helps reduce the effect of altitude (avoid drinking it before going to bed)
