OVERVIEW

This one-day excursion invites us to take the same path of the classic Inca Trail, this great adventure begins at km 104 of the railway that goes to Machu Picchu at an altitude of 2150 meters / 7053 feet. The highest point to reach will be the famous Puerta Del Sol (2,730 meters / 8,957 feet). This expedition take us to explore three beautiful Inca cities, Chachabamba, Wiñaywayna, Machu Picchu and thus be able to learn about the history of the INCA civilization.

ITINERARY

CUSCO - Ollantaytambo - KM 104 - Chachabamba - Wiñaywayna - Puerta del sol -  MACHU PICCHU - Aguas Calientes -  CUSCO

3:40 a.m. We start this wonderful experience pickIing you up from your hotel and then we go to Ollantaytambo train station, from where we will travel for about 1 hour and 10 minutes to km 104 of the railway, once we past the control we start the hike, the first place for us to visit is The archaeological site Chachabamba, later we continue hiking at a moderate pace for about 3 hours to keep enjoying the scenery and take great photos until we reach another very important place The archaeological complex Wiñaywayna, here we have enough time to walk inside and record every corner with our cameras and also to have lunch.
After a good break, we continue hiking, delighting ourselves with the biodiversity that exists in this special environment, later on we will arrive at Puerta Del Sol
(2,720 meters / 8,922 feet) it is the highest point of this excursion and from here we will be able to enjoy the beautiful panoramic view of the Inca citadel Machu Picchu and Huayna Picchu Mountain.
2:00 p.m. Approximately. We visit the Inca citadel Machu Picchu, starting the tour with our tour guide who will take us through the most interesting places and thus be able to admire the perfection of this wonderful construction and discover the mystery that exists behind of this enigmatic place, our tour guide will always be ready and attentive to answer all questions or doubts and will share with you the amazing history of Machu Picchu. Besides everything we can enjoy the fascinating landscape that we have in this impressive place.
After the guided tour we will go down to the town of Aguas Calientes to enjoy a delicious dinner.
At 20:50 hours We have to take the train to go back to Ollantaytambo and from there we will board our private transport to return to your hotel in the Cusco city, arriving at approximately 11:40 pm.
