If you do not have
much time to be in Cusco this option
could be for you.
Visiting Machu Picchu in a
full day tour you will allow you know the most important sectors of this
beautiful archaeological complex through a guided tour of two hours, then you
will have a free hour to continue visiting on your own and then take the way
back to Cusco.
ITINERARY
03:50 am We pick you up from your hotel then we go on a journey for about an
hour and a half until Ollantaytambo
train station, once we get there we board The Expedition Train that normally It departures at 06:10 am arriving at 07:40 am to Aguas Calientes town (Machu Picchu
Pueblo) and at the exit of the train station, your tour guide will be
waiting for you to go to the bus station and go up to Machu
Picchu citadel.
Once we get to Machu Picchu,
we will have a guided tour for about 2 hours to know, learn and visit the most
outstanding places in this beautiful archaeological site, after you will have
the chance to explore more the citadel on your own (until noon). Later on you have to go down by bus to Aguas Calientes where you will have
enough time to do some activities, such as visiting the streets and markets of
the town, enjoying the thermal baths to relax yourself, or perhaps to visit the
Manuel Chávez Ballón Museum, any of
these visits you will do it on your own.
Keep in mind to be at
the train station at least half an hour before the departure time. The train
normally leave the Aguas Calientes
station at 3:20 pm, arriving to Poroy station at 7: 05pm, the staff of the train company will take you where we are
waiting for you, then we return to your hotel in Cusco.
Attention: from January to April the same train company will
give you the transport service which will take you to Wanchaq station in Cusco city
and in Cusco our transfer will be
waiting to leave you at your hotel.
