We pick you up from your hotel between 7:00am – 7:30 a.m. and then we left Cusco to get to Hidroeléctrica, along the way we stop twice, first in Ollantaytambo for about 10 -15 minutes only to buy snacks or water, then we continue to the Abra Málaga where there is a beautiful Andean landscape, after that we descend towards the jungle passing through small towns such as Santa María and Santa Teresa located to (1575m.a.s.l.) here we will have time to enjoy a delicious lunch later on, we continue the journey to hydroelectric, once we get there, we prepare ourselves to start the hike which will takes about 2 hours to reach Aguas Calientes town (Machu Picchu town) at this point named Hidroeléctrica we have the chance to get a train to get to Aguas Calientes (It takes about 25 minutes), most of the people hike till the end once we get to our destination you will have a free afternoon to take a rest, to walk in town or maybe to visit the hot springs, after dinner we have a briefing with our tour guide to talk to about interesting topics and the agenda for next day.
Around 4:20 a.m. We start hiking to the archaeological site Machu Picchu, this is an up hill trail that usually takes 1 hour and 20 minutes, the way back takes about 30 min, if you do not want to walk anymore we can go by bus for an additional cost, the first bus departure at 5:30 am however if you go walking or on a bus you will meet with the tour guide and the group at the only entrance of Machu Picchu.
6:30 a.m. approx. we start our guided tour for 2 hours approximately visiting the most outstanding places of this wonderful citadel (the temple of the sun, the main square, Intiwatana, the temple of the Condor, sector of mirror of water and so on) After that you can explore a bit more the citadel on your own until noon. But remember that we have to hike back to Hidroelectrica (03 hours) where we should take the bus at 3:00p.m. to return to Cusco city ariiving approximately 9:30pm
