We present you this tour with two departure times 7:00 am or 13: 00hrs. this tour takes about 4.5 hrs, going from the city center to the Arequipas countryside, on our ride we will cross typical villages surrounded by terraces, colonial houses, museums and churches, all of them built with an special local material knows as sillar (petrified volcanic gases) we will pass through the most popular villages in our city (Sabandia, Yumina, Mollebaya y Characato).
This ride gives us the chance to know the interesting Arequipa’s urban side and be able to observe how the city is growing in direction to the volcanoes, besides understand a bit the way of thinking of its people its social organization in this multicultural society and on the other side, let’s get an impression of the lifestyle of its people on the farmland, their daily work based on livestock and agriculture using the land of their ancestors (pre-Inca terraces, water channels and irrigation systems, etc.). This tour give us a nice experience in a very healthy way interacting with locals as well as the environment that surrounds them.
The surface of the route presents us, several semi-flat sections with ascents and descents that in general are not extremely complicated, the route is 100% asphalt we have to cover 35 kilometers in total with traffic in different places especially to get out/in to the city center.
